Life Connections Omaha

Mission & History

A newly non-profit Life Connections Omaha, a 501(c)(3) organization, is making a difference in the lives of Omaha families.  Life Connections Omaha was established to strengthen the Omaha community, by educating families and mentoring youth in the vital areas of life skills, finances and strong families.

The founders, Dan and LaVonya Goodwin, have over twenty­five years of experience in community outreach including: college preparation for high school and college students through Monster.com’s Making It Count and Diversity Leadership Programs (DLP); local basketball camps in collaboration with the YMCA, and prison ministry in state and federal institutions.

Our Primary Program

Global Leadership Group (GLG) is Life Connections Omaha’s primary program for male and female students grades 9-12; providing in the areas of: personal, social and career development.  GLG provides a positive after school environment for students and is an alternative to gangs, drugs and street violence.   GLG meets every Wednesday at Omaha North High Magnet School.
