Neighborhood Revitalization

Currently, Global Leadership Group (GLG) is Life Connections Omaha’s primary program and mentors male and female students grades 9-12.  We teach our students how to break the cycle of violence and poverty by working with them in the areas of personal, social and career development.  Professional mentors and facilitators work with students on leadership, time management, self-esteem, dressing for success, goal setting, and etiquette.  GLG meets every Wednesday at Omaha North High Magnet School at 3:15 p.m.

Students also volunteer in the community participating in: neighborhood cleanups, helping at soup kitchens, and pantries to learn the value of their positive contribution to their community. Visit our Volunteer page to learn how you can get involved.

Corporate Tours

During our first corporate visit to Offutt Air Force Base where students saw the  K9 unit, toured the Base grounds and checked out the dorms; which were named after Alfonzo Davis, one of the 13 Tuskegee Airmen from Omaha, NE. Retired and active duty military personnel discussed various career paths.
